Four carcinomas of the portio were treated for 3 days with colchicine in glycerin ovuli (20 mg each). Both immediate cytological effects (c-mitosis) and secondary ones (increase of giant cells interpretable as hyperploids), typical for the employed substance, were observed. Results (statistically determined) are discussed also in relation to the clinical problem.
