Radiotherapy is the choice treatment for mammary carcinomas of III° and IV° stages according to Steinthal. No favourable results were obtained by the combined surgical-radiotherapic treatment in cases which cannot undergo radical operation, owing to distant metastases or local conditions. The following survival percentages were obtained in cases treated by combined surgery-radiotherapy: 16 per cent after 3 years, 2,7 per cent after 5 years. The survival percentages obtained by radiotherapy alone are compared and underlined.
