Abstract
1) Scarcely receptive mice, injectd with cortisone (mg. 0,4 pro die for 15 days) develop a metylclolanthrene induced sarcoma in a hight percentage of cases. The oral administration of the same dose for the same period of time is scarcely effective on the percentage of induction. 3) A high resistance to methylcholanthrene-induced sarcoma in albino mice of a not-selected strain may be obtained by a previous graft of a methylcholantherene-sarcoma fragment or a fragment of a mous spontaneus tumor (ovarian follicoluma) when grafts are reabsorbed. Such a resistance has been hitherto verified for 5–6 months after the graft. 3) The oral administration of cortisone (mg. 0,4 pro die for 15 days) immediately after the graft, does not inhibit the tumor resistance due to the reabsorption of the transpanted fragments.
