The modifications in the growth and histology of the Walker rat carcinoma under the influence of a stilbenic compound were investigated. Males show a clearer modification than females in growth as well as in the histological picture; but the latter change is less evident after a prolonged treatment. In general the histological changes due to the treatment consist of an increase of reticular and collagenous fibrils and of regressive cell lesions with a diminished mitotic index.
