Abstract
The following results were obtained by radiumtherapy in 332 cases of recurrences and metastases of the skin and regional lymph nodes treated from 1939 to 1948 in the Radiological Department of the Cancer Institute in Milan.
Survival cases after 5 years: 14,8 per cent in cases of recurrences or gangliar metastases treated by combined surgery and radiumtherapy; 13,5 per cent in cases of gangliar metastases treated by radiumtherapy alone; 12,5 per cent in cases of recurrences and regional skin metastases treated by radiumtherapy alone.
A 7,6 per cent of survival was obtained by radiumtherapy alone in cases of recurrences or skin metastases with regional metastasized lymph nodes.
