Halcinonide, a new topical fluorinated steroid was compared in a doubleblind, simultaneous comparison with betamethasone valerate. Halcinonide was found to be superior in the treatment of psoriasis and equally effective as betamethasone valerate in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
