Packaging decisions can play a major role in the fulfillment of the moral responsibilities of a firm toward its various stakeholders. In this article the authors discuss and inventory packaging issues, report on a survey of packaging professionals' views regarding the ethicality of several contemporary packaging issues, and identify areas where "ethics gaps" exist.
