Abstract
This article analyzes the sources of articles appearing in the first 40 issues of the Journal of Marketing Education. A total of 380 articles, contributed by 558 different authors from 258 different institutions, were analyzed. The analysis showed a significant decrease in the percentage of single-author articles and a fairly large increase in the average number of references per article. This article also discusses the leading institutional and individual contributors to the JME. Additionally, the characteristics of Journal authors are analyzed, and comparisons between the present study and a similar study of the JME published in 1986 are discussed.
