In recent years many academic institutions have been openly promoting their courses to prospective overseas students, particularly from Asia. This article presents the results of an analysis of the issue of teaching Asian students in Western tertiary institutions, observations on the results of a survey of marketing students, and personal experiences, with the aim of giving marketing educators a better understanding of their overseas students.
