A survey was conducted of marketing faculty at doctorate granting institutions to obtain their perceptions of the current shortage of marketing educators. Results focus on activities used to recruit marketing doctoral students, an evaluation of the potential of various groups to provide future doctoral students, reasons for the shortage, and projections for the status of the shortage in five years.
