Parent to Parent

Abstract

Parent to Parent is a model program designed to provide support and information for parents of children with disabilities and/or health impairments. Parents are matched with other parents who also have a child with special needs. The program is designed to help both parents and professionals learn the importance of and need for parent support systems, how to access support networks, and the importance of providing this valuable contact to parents as early as possible in the lives of their children.
