Abstract
Discussions at Pilgrims Hospice about the needs of bereaved children grieving the loss of a parent or grandparent led to a search to discover what others were doing in this field. Little appeared to have been published. We determined to tackle this problem by using a multidisciplinary approach and focusing upon the skills of the art therapist and diversional therapist backed up by the counsellor and social worker. We designed 'Childrens' Days' allowing them to bring to our attention their own feelings, fears and frustrations. The article describes how this was done and the childrens' own reactions.
