Does pharmacological treatment affect the sensation of breathlessness in terminal cancer patients?

Abstract

The authors review the pathophysiology, assessment and drug treatment of dyspnoea. Specific drug treatments discussed are theophylline, antiprostaglandins, benzodiazepines, phenothiazines, opioids and local anaesthetics.
