A criminological reading of the plays The Trial of Dedan Kimathi by wa Thionǵo and Mugo and Oga Na Tief Man by Fatunde and of the novels Devil on the Cross by wa Thionǵo and The Contract by Iyayi demonstrates that criminologists should take creative writing seriously and creative writers should take criminology seriously.
