Abstract
The aim of the Research Information Shared pilot project at the British Library for Development Studies was to use the Library’s Web catalogue as an entry point whereby developing country researchers could identify documents of interest and then obtain copies direct from the Library. The project provided useful evidence that, to be effective, a programme continuing beyond the pilot phase must involve support from, or cooperation between, developed country organizations.
