Progress in Scientific and Technical Information Services in China

Abstract

Describes recent progress in the People's Republic of China in the publication of scientific and technical journals and the computerization of information services. Assesses the output of scientific and technical papers in China and the extent to which they are indexed by foreign bibliographical sources. Describes current developments and future plans for the introduction of computer-based library and information systems.
