Examines the usual difficulties faced by the implementation of information and knowledge dissemination systems in developing countries and explores the possible use of CD-ROM technology to overcome them. A pilot project of the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) for the production of a CD-ROM containing Latin American bibliographic references on public health is also described.
