Abstract
Progress report on a project to implement modern management practices in the Library of Tomsk State University in Central Siberia, train its staff as trainers for library staff throughout Siberia and the Russian Far East, and supply and install an integrated library automation system. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by a partnership involving the University of Sheffield (UK), Utrecht University (Netherlands), and University College, Cork (Ireland). The three-year project will be completed in June 1998.
