Describes the development of UMLIS (University of Malaya Library Information System), a multimedia general guide to the library developed using Authorware 3.0. The guide provides information on all twelve libraries within the UM library system, with details about the type, procedures for membership, borrowing, returning, reservations, fines, regulations, opening hours, services, facilities offered, the various collections, databases available on CD-ROM and on the OPAC.
