An Information and Documentation Project on Gender Training

Abstract

Describes two components of the gender training project within the information services of the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT): the publication of Gender Training: a source book in the Gender, Society & Development series; and acting as the Northern focal point for the International Women Tribune Centre’s Electronic Conference on Gender Training. Unique features of the project are described: cooperation with authors in the South; the creation of an informal network based around the two components of the project; and the use of both the authors and the network to collect unique literature in the sub-discipline of gender training. The project is still in the initial phase and further developments are expected over the next few months.
