Abstract
A regular column for the exchange of information about the CDS/ISIS software package. Mainly comprises a summary report on a meeting of the European Distributors and User Groups of CDS/ISIS, held 30 June–1 July 2000 in Paris. The main purposes of the meeting were for European stake-holders to input into UNESCO’s development team their wishes for CDS/ISIS and to discuss distribution issues. UNESCO staff gave an overview of the CDS/ISIS software family and other participants gave presentations on utilities which could be used in association with CDS/ISIS. Also reports the release of a new utility, ISISASCII which allows ASCII-delimited files to be imported into a CDS/ISIS database. Also outlines the main features of a Windows NT demonstration version of the WWW-ISIS software, developed in collaboration with the Food And Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
