Collaboration leads to access to Asian business information

Abstract

This paper provides a survey of the content of CD-ROM databases, published by RMIT in collaboration with other organizations, which focus on Australia and SouthEast Asia. It also indicates some of the resources that are suitable for gathering business information for the identified geographic areas. Other databases published by RMIT Publishing may also include references to materials on the three countries, but the number of citations is low and they are not included in this survey. The coverage of the three countries allows for access to sources of information that are difficult to find. The business information on these databases is extensive and thus provides a good selection of sources for those interested in doing business in the region. One of the major partners with which RMIT Publishing collaborates is the National University of Singapore Library, which produces three of the relevant databases. The section prepared by the National University of Singapore delves more deeply into the databases that focus on Singapore.
