Abstract
This study provides empirical data concerning the perceived usefulness of sources of export information together with types of information required by Asian and indigenous1 (white) owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK. Findings are based on an exploratory investigation involving personal interviews and the t-test procedure is employed to establish that statistical differences exist between the groups of firms in relation to both their perceived usefulness of a number of sources and types of information required. The findings also suggest that certain organizations and especially libraries are rated low by managers in relation to their usefulness in supplying this information.
