Abstract
Presents a brief guide to the Financial Times(FT) newspaper, designed for those who are not financial specialists but who need to find key information in the FT London edition. Points to information only found on particular days of the week or month and the special supplements on various industries and countries, useful for background information and statistics as well as for advertising. Describes the two main sections: general political and companies and markets, with particular emphasis on the latter. Concludes with notes on sections devoted to: companies and finance UK; commodities and agriculture; international capital markets; currencies and money; Managed Funds Service; World Stock Markets; London Share Service; FTSE Indices; futures and options; and economic indicators. Concludes that the FTcontains a wealth of information not found elsewhere and well beyond its main brief of providing financial information.
