Abstract
Points to the great improvement made by the Internet and the Web on the ability to find information on companies, particularly small and medium-sized companies. Presents useful advice on strategies to adopt in searching for information from company Web sites and available tools to facilitate searching, including: Web search engines; Internet service providers; and Yellow Pages and directories. Pays particular attention to the problem of Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) research.
