Abstract
Lists and discusses the range of legal information sources for business available online via the Internet and the Web. Resources are classified as primary, secondary and tertiary sources and the majority of examples are from Canada or the USA. Primary sources include statutory, case and other law-related items. Secondary sources include publishers of business and legal documents with catalogues of their publications. Tertiary sources include accounting and law firms, law schools and universities, professional law associations, directories of companies, registers of experts in specialty fields and newsletters and newswire services. Concludes with brief notes on international directories, megasites, search engines and useful advice on how to use the information to improve businesses. Web sites are quoted, with URLs, for all resources listed.
