Abstract
Describes a series of searches carried out during March 1993 to evaluate the Textline database as it is loaded or is gatewayed on Data-Star, DIALOG, FT PROFILE, MAID and NEXIS. Identifies differences in the number of records retrieved from the various hosts, and, where differences were found, ascertains their nature. The authors examine the differences in some detail and put forward reasons for them.
