Abstract

Information about, and for, the computer or information technology industry is a changing and complex field. This paper presents one solution (at Consultancy Division, Hoskyns Group plc) to the many problems it poses. It is about a service, not a collection. To understand how and why it works, an appreciation of the company environment in which it functions is necessary background. So too is some appreciation of the range of sources on which it relies.
