Abstract
This paper explores the integration of gamification into library instruction to enhance information literacy skills among users. It examines the benefits, challenges, and future directions of gamified approaches in library settings. The study employs a literature review to analyze existing research on gamification and information literacy in libraries. It synthesizes key findings and identifies trends, challenges, and opportunities for further exploration. The findings of this study revealed that Gamification offers significant potential for promoting information literacy skills through engaging and interactive learning experiences. Benefits include increased user motivation, enhanced learning outcomes, personalized instruction, and community building. However, challenges such as design complexity, overemphasis on rewards, accessibility, and sustainability must be addressed for effective implementation.
