Abstract
Employee job satisfaction is a key factor in the contribution of staff to organizational success. The job satisfaction of its employees can impact the performance of a library. This article presents the results of a study of employees of two university libraries in Bangladesh (Rajshahi University Library (RUL) and Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology Library (RUETL)). The study set out to understand the satisfaction rates of the library employees using eight dimensions of job satisfaction, including working environment, wages, promotion, supervision, nature of the job, training facilities, library rules and regulations, and social status. The article concludes with some recommendations.
