Abstract
This article discusses practical issues around using RSS and Google Reader to monitor business threats. RSS technology offers speed, efficiency and sustainability in any process which aims to monitor threats to critical suppliers or materials. A framework for conceptualizing and ordering business threats is outlined and includes ways of looking at blogs, tweets, news feeds, company websites and more. Finally the author gives details of how to customize Google’s RSS reader to ensure maximum efficiency.
