Abstract
The paper deals with the results of theoretical and experimental studies of cylindrical and quasicylindrical shells with various types of cracks and line hinges. For the analysis of inner forces of a quasicylindrical shell the modified method of approximation of shear flow has been used taking into account the direction change of the membrane longitudinal forces. The method tries to take into account, as much as possible, the peculiarities of reinforced concrete. The paper deals with the main types of cracks in quasicylindrical and cylindrical shells with various geometrical and loading conditions.
