Abstract
The paper is about a dome that consists of 22 laminated timber arches, purlins and cladding. The structure was analyzed numerically and experimentally. Numerical analysis also dealt with geometric non-linearity. The stiffening effect of the cladding was examined by a model test. Before their erection the individual parts of the structure were subjected to load test. The finished structure incorporates instruments for monitoring the frequency of vibrations excited by the ambient factors.
