Her research focuses on culturally appropriate assessments and interventions for children from immigrant and Indigenous communities.
Diane Pesco, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at Concordia University in Quebec and a certified speech-language pathologist, conducts research on the conversational and narrative skills of children from varied linguistic and cultural backgrounds, the socialization and instruction of such skills, and novel tools for their assessment.
Sinead Moore Ramirez, MSc, is a registered Senior Speech and Language Therapist working in disability services. Sinead’s clinical and research interests include Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), team working approaches and service delivery. This research was conducted as part of a Master of Science in Clinical Speech and Language Studies at Trinity College Dublin.
Yvonne Lynch, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Speech and Language Therapy at Trinity College Dublin and a registered Speech and Language Therapist. Yvonne’s clinical and research interests lie in the areas of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), service delivery, and the use of technology in speech and language therapy.
Deirdre MacEvilly is a Clinical Specialist SLT in Lucena Clinic Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Wicklow, Ireland. She has a Master’s Degree in Child Language Disorders and over 20 years’ experience supporting young people with complex communication needs. Research interests include ADHD, Selective Mutism, and Emotional Dysregulation.
Katie Maguire is a Senior Speech & Language Therapist working with children and young people who experience mental health difficulties in Lucena Clinic Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Dublin, Ireland. Her research interests include exploring the link between communication and emotional regulation and related evidence-based interventions.
Geraldine Brosnan is a Clinical Specialist SLT at Treehouse Practice for trauma. She has worked in child/adolescent mental health and disability services for 30 years. She is undertaking Postgraduate study in Neurodiversity at University College Dublin. Her research includes ADHD, social communication, and transdiagnostic processes.
Louise Gaffney is an independent private speech and language therapist who holds a BSc Honours degree in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from Trinity College Dublin. She has experience working in child and adolescent mental health, in both outpatient and inpatient services and this reflects her research areas of interest.
Lindsay Dennis is an Associate Professor of special education at Florida State University. She holds a PhD in special education from the University of Kansas. Her recent interests include: developing interventions to support the language and literacy development of preschoolers with, or at-risk for, language delays, and providing professional development to early childhood professionals.
Taryn Wade is a licensed school psychologist in Florida, board-certified behavior analyst, and a project manager at Florida Center for Reading Research. She holds a PhD in special education from Florida State University and her research interests include teaching vocabulary in the context of a shared reading routine to preschool children at risk for or with identified language delays.
Jennifer Eldridge currently teaches middle school math and science in Omaha Public Schools. She holds a PhD from Florida State University in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research interests include early behavior interventions, teacher burnout, and alternative certification of teachers impact on students and teacher retention rates. After over a decade in education, her belief in early intervention drives her research agenda.
Audrey Robbins is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Utah working with students in field experiences. She holds a PhD from Florida State University in Curriculum and Instruction. Her research interests include early childhood special education, communication strategies, teacher education, and inclusion.
Erika Fundelius is an Assistant Professor at University of British Columbia. She holds a PhD from Florida State University in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a special education teacher trained in working with blind and low vision students and adults. Her research focuses on professional development of in-service and pre-service teachers of students with visual impairments as it relates to quality-of-life outcomes for students.
