Abstract
Christians working cross-culturally to bring about change in other societies desire to conduct their interventions ethically. What seems ethical and endorsed by God from the donor's point of view, however, may not be perceived as ethical in terms of the cultural values of the receptors. The nature of this problem is discussed and guidelines suggested to assist us in recognizing and overcoming the problem. The primary guideline in the application of the Golden Rule in terms of the culturally conditioned perception of the receptors.
