Abstract
Caring for creation is an issue of increasing prominence but, with so many other issues to consider, why should God's people be interested? Creation care is not merely one more thing to do, another activity we should carry out. Rather, caring for creation flows from multiple pages of Scripture, from the garden of Genesis to the renewal of all things in Revelation. Not an end in itself, our theme is captured in the complementary questions “How does knowing the Creator cause me to care for creation?” and “How can caring for creation help people come to know the Creator?” I begin by briefly addressing the need for Christians to care for creation. I describe creation care as a lived-out value that can add beautiful flavour to how we live and what we do, both in demonstration and explanation of the gospel and part of our truly “undivided witness.”
