The 'alternatives to custody' debate has many dimensions. On close examination and with imaginative work, how many prison sentences are inevitable? The work of the Great Ormond Street Incest team, lead by consultant Arnon Bentovim, has stimulated much interest. This case study points to how the technique can be exported, with proper back-up, to primary workers.
