Survey of Final Fieldwork Placements

Abstract

A survey of 174 POs in their second or third year of employment reveals views about disturbing deficiencies in the quality of some final student placements. Comparisons between placements in student units and with individual supervisors suggest that the former are more likely to provide a satisfactory training experience.
