Abstract
(Mr. Leslie J. W. Penegar obtained his Social Science Certificate at Southampton University under the auspices of the Home Office. He then became one of the first students to take the Course in Applied Social Studies at the London School of Economics. When he finished his training he went to Thames Police Court in the East End of London and after two years he went to the British Columbia Probation Branch, where he has been for the past eighteen months. He is working in Courtenay and district which is in the northern part of Vacouver Island—just off the western coast of Canada.)
