An analysis of the function characterizing the structural heterogeneity of microporous adsorbents is presented. Normalization of the function influences considerably the value of the parameter W0 which determines the micropore volume. As a result not only Gaussian but also Rayleigh and exponential distributions are acceptable. The assumption of a definite range for the variance of the structural parameter has a considerable influence on the shape of the distribution function for structural heterogeneity.
