Abstract
This is a review of Michel Maffesoli’s intellectual autobiography. He held the Durkheim chair at the Sorbonne from 1981 until his retirement in 2012 and has published more than 40 books. Maffesoli reconstructs his career and shows how he developed his theoretical approach.
