Abstract
Acoustic transfer function (ATF) plays an important role in the procedure of structure dynamic modification for sound field optimization of a cavity, since it makes rapid sound evaluation possible. In this paper, a new method to obtain ATF's numerical solution by BEM, was presented. For a simply supported panel backed by a rectangular cavity, the influence of frequency on ATF was discussed. Then application of ATF to rapid sound evaluation was tested. The relation between the accuracy of rapid sound evaluation and discretization schemes of the panel is analyzed.
