A Review of Low Frequency Noise Investigations by British Gas

Abstract

This report results from the work of a group convened to review the Low Frequency Noise complaints received by British Gas. The group was chaired by Mr. P.F. Weatherilt, Head of Environment, British Gas. The report was first issued in May 1992 and is reproduced here by permission of British Gas. Two Appendices in the original report are not included. The first describes the equipment used for continuous noise monitoring. The second is a paper published in 1987 by Dr. C.G. Lyle on Effective Control of Environmental Noise.
