As a part of a complex study of foamed structure formation by gaseous expansion, the validity of the engineering model proposed – blowing agent decomposition and growth of nucleated gas phase cells in the polymeric melt, composed of plasticised PVC and rubber – has been verified. It can be said that the validity of the proposed engineering model is extended by the presence of the elastomeric phase in the polymeric structure, as is the case with real systems.
