Abstract
The paper describes the evolution of press moulding and injection moulding techniques for use in the production of cellular, crosslinked olefins. The selection of polymers, additives a curing systems suitable for use in such processes are discussed in detail. Particular reference is made to the development of formulations relative to the moulding process being used.
Finally attempts are made to predict future developments in the area of injection and/or press moulding techniques for the production of low density crosslinked olefin foams over a wide range of densities.
