The activation of decomposition of azodicarbonamide by chromium has been studied. The aim of the experimental investigation was the development of a method providing azodicarbonamide modified by chromium during its production. It has been shown that modified azodicarbonamide, containing residual chromium from its preparation does not need to be activated when used as a blowing agent in the production of foamed polymeric materials.
