After 272 years consolidated production experience with hydrocarbon blowing agent options, where high safety margins were used in terms of moulded density, ICI Polyurethanes has now addressed a general reduction of moulding densities at its European appliances RDC (regional development centre) in Ternate, Italy.
Suitable performance in terms of progressive cabinet deformation and foam physical/mechanical properties were maintained. Attention was also paid to ensuring continued acceptable performance in terms of thermal conductivity and energy consumption.
