Abstract
In this paper, processing conditions for producing high relative density microcellular CPET foams using CO2as a blowing agent are described. Starting with solid CPET, foams with relative densities between 0.5 to 1.0 were produced. Results of instrumented impact tests conducted at various temperatures ranging from room temperature to -40°C are presented. The CPET foams exhibit excellent impact properties in the range of temperatures explored.
