This article describes the establishment of a mentor program in New South Wales as one initiative in implementing policy for the education of gifted and talented children. After the trial program as delineated in the article there has been an expansion of the program with an increase in student applications and in searches for mentors. The program is concerned with linking students who want to achieve with achievers.
