Abstract
This paper discusses the importance of positively developing student power to the benefit of the country's well-being. The author refers to the world leadership crisis in the 1990s and suggests that schools in general neglect to develop adequately the qualities of leadership so desperately needed. Leadership is portrayed as both a science and an art meaning that certain aspects can be learned while other aspects derive from less tangible qualities of personal inspiration and creativity.
